Beware of Artists

Actual poster from the mid-50’s issued by Senator Joseph McCarthy at the height of the Red Scare and anti communist witch hunt in Washington.  All artists were suspect.

I concur with the sentiment but you all know the McCarthy story is bullshit, yes?

We are a shady bunch. I mean wanting equality is against the rules right?

It’s extremely hard to believe that this is real or how they could fit so very many white people into one video, but it is truly astounding.

Planet of the Apes // David CutlerAwesome theme at Spitballin’ this week. I originally saw PotA on CityTV when I was 12 or 13 or so, and I was excited to finally understand all the references the Simpsons made to it back in those days. Dr. Zaius and the ruling class evolved from those blonde eyebrow-having apes you always hear so much about. I figure he must have been a yeti.

Awesome Dr. Zaius drawing
